A complex web of road, rail and air links radiate from Melbourne to the rolling hill areas surrounding the city to the mountain areas in the north east of the state and deserts areas to the west. Victoria's landscape varies from flat desert area to rolling farmland in the central regions. More rugged highland areas are found in the east ofthis state. In the north one would find a nearly continuos river boundary with associated flood plain regions in the south. This state has a rugged and varied coastline with numerous cliffs bays and inlets

What
To Take & What To Wear
Victoria is a fairly casual destination. Good casual clothes would suffice for most visits. However, you would feel more comfortable in more dressy clothes for dining out etc. Lightweight clothing should be brought during summer while in winter a jumper and or jacket over good casual clothes would be sufficient. You only need to bring extremely warm clothing if you are going into the Alpine, snowy areas of Victoria.
